Q: I do not
think I am the father of the child(ren) listed on the Complaint.
What do I do?
A: If you do not believe
you are the father of this child, you must respond to our
office or file an Answer (included in the packet) with the
Merced County Clerk's office. The County Clerk's office
charges a fee. Once your Answer is filed, or we get a response
from you in our office, a court date and genetic test appointments
will be scheduled to determine if you are the father or
not.
